Larry Moberg
Co-Owner

Larry played minor hockey in Innisfail, AB. He received a scholarship to play at the University of Alaska Fairbanks while playing with the Olds Grizzlys of the AJHL. That year in the AJHL, he won an AJHL championship and was named the Goaltender of the Year. He played 71 games with the University of Alaska Fairbanks during his 4 years there. After graduating with an Exercise Science degree, Larry went on to play with Roanoke Express of the ECHL. He returned back to Alberta to play with the Stony Plain Eagles Senior team, where he won an Allan Cup.
While playing with the Stony Plain Eagles, Larry attended Concordia University College of Alberta to get his Bachelor of Education degree. After getting his degree, Larry and his wife Pam moved to Drayton Valley, AB to teach and they remain there today. Larry ran a Hockey Canada Skills Academy for seven years out of the Frank Maddock High and HW Pickup Junior High schools. Larry also coached with the Drayton Valley Thunder Junior Hockey Team for 5 years and the Whitecourt Wolverines Jr. A Team for 1 year. During that time, Larry worked with the defense and goalies. Over that 5 year period, Larry worked with 4 goalies that obtained NCAA Division 1 scholarships, 3 goalies obtained CIS scholarships, and 2 turned pro.


Larry lives in Drayton Valley with his wife, Pam and their three children Kael, Ella, and Colby. He currently is the coach mentor for Drayton Valley Minor Hockey and coaches his two sons who are also goalies. He really enjoys working with goalies of all ages and abilities and looks forward to the challenge of helping them become the best they can be.

Jamie Bastien
Co-Owner

Jamie started playing goal in small town Falher Alberta, where he played Minor Hockey. Having played brief stints in both the AJHL and the SJHL, he returned to northern Alberta, to play Senior Men’s Hockey for the Falher Pirates and Valleyview Jets in the North Peace Hockey League. He was awarded NPHL Rookie Of The Year, and 1st Team All Star.


Fr the last 10 years he has been coaching hios 3 sons (one of them is a goaltender) playing Minor Hockey in Drayton Valley Alberta. During this time, he discovered his true passion; coaching and developing goaltenders. He has been working with goalies of all ages and various experience levels, and gets the most satisfaction seeing the growth and development of his students.


Currently Jamie runs goaltender development clinics and sessions in and around the Drayton Valley area.


Kael Moberg
Instructor

Kael started helping out as a junior instructor three years ago. He is currently playing junior hockey and really enjoys working with goalies regardless of their age or ability. He loves researching and trying out new techniques in his own game. He looks forward to helping goalies of all ages for many years become the best goalies they can.
